Swimmers are in for a treat with the newly enhanced and refurbished aquatics complex.  The facility has a new and shiny look to it.  In addition to the improvements made, a double flumed slide and a spray park were added, making it a true entertainment complex.  Other improvements include a new pool liner, gutter system, concrete deck, filtration/circulation system, and pool heater.  Improvements were also made to the bathhouse with a new roof, paint inside and out, minor renovations, and the addition of a family change room.  Improvements to the pool and bath house were part of the $2,270,000 aquatics bond issue passed in November 7, 2006.  The Spray Park and slides were paid for out of alternate funding sources.  James Talcott Construction was the general contractor for the project. In addition, a new paved parking lot has been added along the south end of Jaycee Park with 50 parking spaces. Fees for the Jaycee Pool will remain at $1.50 for youth 3-17, and $2.50 for adults; children five and under are free when accompanied by a paying adult (one adult per child), each additional child, five or under, will be $1.00.  Jaycee Pool is located at 23rd Ave. N.E. and 4th Street.
